An Apartment for a Pastry Chef

Located in Tel Aviv’s Old North, the apartment is home to a pastry chef who also hosts baking workshops. The kitchen was designed accordingly, with a generous work island, professional oven, and carefully considered details for both baking and entertaining.

Following the building’s TAMA renovation, one of the apartment’s windows was lost to the addition of an external safe room. The room was retained as a flexible office and playroom, enclosed with glass partitions that bring in light and maintain a visual connection with the rest of the home.
The design works with the apartment’s original qualities: high ceilings provide generous vertical storage, while exposed beams and original silicate brickwork add texture and character.

The open street-facing balcony strengthens the connection between home and city, evoking the informal spirit of old Tel Aviv. Mature trees surrounding the building bring the city’s greenery indoors.
