Privacy policy
At Shadmi Design we respect your privacy. This policy explains what information the website collects, what it is used for, who it is shared with, and your rights.
Who we are
The website is run by Chen Shadmi, 26 Bar Kochva St., Tel Aviv (“the studio”). For privacy questions: chen@shadmi-design.com.
What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address and the message you write. You are not legally required to give these details, but without them we can’t reply.
- Contacting us directly: if you call, email, or message us on WhatsApp or social media, we receive the details you share.
- Technical information: the website’s server automatically records basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type and time of visit) to run and secure the site.
We don’t ask for sensitive information on the site, and we don’t collect payment details.
How we use it
Your details are used only to reply to you and handle your enquiry, for example to arrange a meeting or send a quote. Technical information is used to run and secure the site and, if you agreed, for statistics about how the site is used. We won’t send you marketing emails without your explicit consent, and we never sell or rent your information.
Who we share it with
Contact form messages are sent to the studio’s email inbox and are not stored on the website itself. They pass through the service providers that run the website and email (the website’s hosting company and the studio’s email provider), who use them only to provide that service. Some providers may store data on servers outside Israel, in line with the rules on international data transfers. If you agreed to cookies, Google and Meta receive the information described under “Cookies and tracking”. Otherwise, we share information only when required by law.
Cookies and tracking
The website itself does not set cookies. On your first visit you will see a cookie notice, and only if you agree there do we switch on the following tools:
- Statistics – Google Analytics: a service by Google that shows us how many people visit the site, which pages they view, how they arrived, and whether they sent the contact form (not what they wrote). It sets cookies in your browser (such as _ga, kept for up to two years) and collects technical details such as your approximate location, device and browser. We do not use it to identify visitors by name.
- Marketing – the Meta pixel: a tool by Meta (Facebook and Instagram) used, when the studio advertises on those networks, to measure the results and to show ads to people who visited the site. It sets a cookie in your browser (_fbp, kept for about three months).
These tools are loaded only after you agree, and you can agree to just one of them. If you decline, the site works exactly the same. The information is processed by Google and by Meta under their own privacy policies, and may be stored on servers outside Israel. You can change your choice or withdraw your consent at any time through the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
Your choice in the cookie notice, and any settings you choose in the accessibility menu, are saved in your own browser only and are not sent to us. You can clear them in your browser settings.
Links to other websites
The site links to Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and articles on other websites. Once you go there, those websites’ own privacy policies apply.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept in the studio’s inbox for as long as needed to handle the enquiry or project, or as required by law, and are then deleted. Server logs are kept for a short period, for security purposes only.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, and the site uses a secure connection (HTTPS). However, no information on the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your rights
Under the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 1981, you may ask to see the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Contact us using the details above, and we’ll respond within a reasonable time. If you feel we haven’t handled your request properly, you may contact the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the current version will always be on this page. If the Hebrew and English versions differ, the Hebrew version prevails.
