Accessibility statement
At Shadmi Design we believe everyone should be able to use our website equally, including people with disabilities. We have worked to make the site convenient, simple and accessible.
Accessibility level
The site was adapted to the requirements of Regulation 35 of the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013, and to Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on the WCAG guidelines at level AA.
What we did
- The whole site can be used with a keyboard alone, with a clear mark on the selected element and a “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
- The site works with screen readers: a proper heading structure, labels on buttons, menus and form fields, and form messages are read out.
- Text color contrast meets the standard.
- The site adapts to phones, tablets and computers, and can be zoomed up to 400% without losing content.
- The home page slideshow can be paused, and the site respects the device’s “reduce motion” setting.
- The site is available in Hebrew and English, with the correct language and text direction set for each.
Accessibility menu
The accessibility button is in the corner of the screen. It opens a menu to: enlarge or reduce the text and the display, show a strong keyboard focus, stop animations, use a readable font, highlight links and headings, show image descriptions, and switch to high contrast, black and yellow, inverted colors, monochrome or sepia, or a big (white or black) cursor. Your settings are kept in your browser as you move between pages, and can be reset at any time. The menu is an extra aid; it doesn’t replace the adjustments built into the site itself.
Browsers and devices
The site supports current versions of the common browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge), on computers and phones. Accessibility was checked with keyboard navigation and automated testing tools.
Known limitations
We keep improving the site’s accessibility, and some parts may not yet be fully accessible. Links to articles on other websites lead to sites we don’t control; their accessibility is their owners’ responsibility.
The studio
The studio is at 26 Bar Kochva St., Tel Aviv. The building has an elevator, and there is parking on site. Meetings are by appointment. If you need any adjustment, tell us when we arrange the meeting and we’ll take care of it.
Found a problem? Let us know
If something on the site is hard to use, or you have a suggestion, we’d like to hear about it and will fix it as soon as we can. Please tell us which page, what you were trying to do, and which browser or device you used.
